Los Angeles Clippers have won the ninth game in a row on their own pitch. This time, Los Angeles Clippers defeated Phoenix Suns 115:99. Marcin Gortat, the Polish basketball player, didn't play this time, because of back pain.

The dominance of the Los Angeles basketball players over the last few years over their rivals in Phoenix is one of the longest. This is the ninth consecutive victory of Clippers against Suns - for the last time the Suns proved to be better in the immediate clash was in the 2016-17 season. A longer series of LAC successes only have against Orlando Magic (ten consecutive triumphs).

Now the task seemed even simpler. Clippers on their own court currently have the best streak in the entire league, and from all the last 12 games they won ten. Despite this, there was a tie after the halfway point. The charges of coach Doc Rivers tipped the scales in their favor in the third quarter, thanks to the 20:4 point series during the five-minute game period. After that, the hosts had the advantage even of 20 points 83:63.

The best player of this part of the game, as well as the whole match was Danilo Gallinari. During the Clippers' scoring series, he scored 12 points, shooting several times for three points. Throughout the game, the Italian player scored 28 points and had 10 rebounds. Boban Marjanović, who played at the central position instead of Marcin Gortat, noted double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

For the only Pole in the competition it was the fourth missed match this season, the first after having played eight games in a row in the Clippers' top five.

With a balance of 14 wins and six defeats, the Los Angeles team still ranks first in the Western Conference.

Their next rival will be the Sacramento Kings team.
