41-year-old Vince Carter, one of the oldest basketball players in the NBA league, signed an annual deal with the Atlanta Hawks. The value of the contract is 2.4 million dollars - it was announced on the ESPN website.

It will be his 21st season at the NBA and in this way he will join the record-breakers Robert Parish, Kevin Willis, Kevin Garnett and the German Dirk Nowitzki. Nowitzki, a few days ago, extended the contract with Dallas Mavericks, in which he appears from the beginning of his career. No one has been associated with one team for so long.

For Carter, Atlanta Hawks will be the eighth team. In the previous season, in Sacramento Kings, he recorded his lowest average - 5.4 points in 58 games, of which only five started in the first team.

In total, he played 1405 matches in the NBA, reaching an average of 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists. He was the top player in the league, playing in the Toronto Raptors (1998-2004), and then in the New Jersey Nets (2004-09). Eight times he was nominated for the NBA Star Game (2000-07, in 2002 he did not play due to injury).

On the list of scorers of all time, he is in the 22nd place with 24 868 points.
