WASHINGTON (AP) - Washington Wizards handed Marcin Gortat center to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for guard Austin Rivers, according to sources who have a direct connection with the matter.

The 1-1 deal was submitted to The Associated Press, but the two sides had not yet confirmed the agreement.

The 34-year-old Gortat was one of the Wizards expected in the past five seasons with averaged 8.4 points and 7.6 rebounds. The Wizards ended up as No.8 seed in the Eastern Conference and lost to the No.1 seed Toronto Raptors in the first round playoff.

Rivers, 26, with career-best 15.1 points and four assists in the past season in the Clippers whom managed by his father Doc Rivers.
