Lebron James (source)

And why not? He did it before.

LeBron James is effective in playing the point-forward position throughout his 16 years in the NBA and has played point guard sparingly before. He averaged 27.4 PTS / 8.5 REB / 8.3 AST in his first season with the Lakers after playing 55 games last year. This season, with Anthony Davis on the floor, LeBron can definitely ditch those passes and add more assists in his stats. He can easily get 11 to 12 AST per game in my opinion.

It is also the most logical thing to do considering the composition of the new Lakers team who now has all-star forward Anthony Davis, centers DeMarcus Cousins and Javale Mcgee to boost their playoffs chances.

Aside from James, newly acquired Danny Green will start for the Lakers backcourt while other point guards such as veteran Rajon Rondo, Quinn Cook, and Alex Caruso will come off the bench.

With The King orchestrating the play for Lakers, and the presence of Anthony Davis on the court, The Lakers is expected to improve this season and can even be considered as one of the title contenders of the league.

Now, if only he will play defense.
