Finally the first sports article of @takeaways, and today we are going to recap and figure out what are the takeaways of the game in this battle between the west and east as the Minnesota Timberwolves get their 2nd victory of the season over the Charlotte Hornets.

Another impressive game from Karl-Anthony Towns as he performed an outstanding game filling the stat sheets once again and dropped 37 points 15 rebounds 8 assists to go along with 4 steals and two blocks. And the Minnesota Timberwolves pull off their second win and still ubeaten ousting the Charlotte Hornets with 22 point lead finishing the game 121-99.

The Timberwolves out-rebounded their foe by 10 boards and KAT is at the center of it grabbing his 15 rebounds in only 28 minutes of action inside the court. The Twolves also able to snatched 11 balls from the Hornets which again Towns have 4 of those steals.

Andrew Wiggins added 16 points in this victory with 4 boards and 2 dimes making six out of thirteen field goal attempts after playing for 33 minutes. On the other hand no starter from the Hornets able to put up more than 20 points rather Devonte Graham off the bench leads the Hornets scoring with 24 points.

Takeaways:

Karl-Anthony Towns dropping bombs from beyond the arc again after he made 7 out of 11 in his last game against Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets now he made 4 out 7 with an impressive percentage and he looks very comfortable at making those shots.

Looks like another just average game from Andrew Wiggins and no improvement so far from his rookie year, Wiggins is a super talented player but I can’t see or we are not witnessing yet a great leap from the past few seasons.

Even tho the Wolves are winning we can’t deny the fact that Minnesota needs to find that another all-star caliber player as Towns can’t carry this team in the long run if they can’t develop Wiggins into that kind of player.
