The AFL season might be over, but the NBA is here to take over all of my attention.
Chris Bateman joined me to preview every team as we countdown the days until the tipoff of the 2018/19 NBA regular season.
To kick things off, here is the Atlantic Division
Boston (2017/18 record was 55-27)
- 7-for-39 from 3-point range in Game 7
- 21-year-old Jaylen Brown and 20-year-old Jayson Tatum gained incredible experience in the playoffs
- Total games 58.5 - Over
Brooklyn (2017/18 record was 28-54)
- D’Angelo Russel - 15.5 PPG last season, should improve on that.
- Total games 32.5 - Over
New York (2017/19 record was 29-53)
- Fizdale new coach
- KP not back until February
- Mitchell Robinson nice big rookie
- Shot more mid range shots than any other team last season
- Frank Ntilikina, needs to take a serious step forward after an uninspiring rookie season and a summer of work. The No. 8 pick of the 2017
- Tim Hardaway Jr - 17.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.7 apg last season, should improve
- Total games 29.5 - under
Philadelphia (2017/18 record was 52-30)
- Bryan Colangelo resigned in early June after an investigation into social media accounts run by his wife
- Lost Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova
- Fultz is a key to their success
- Dario Saric - 14.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 2.6 apg, an underrated player
- Total games 53.5 - over
Toronto (2017/19 record was 59-23)
- Lost Dwayne Casey and derozan, brought in Kawhi
- Shots that came from 3-point range (38 percent, up from 29 percent in 2016-17)
- Had the best bench in the NBA - outscored its opponents by 17 points per 100 possessions
- Total games 55.5 - over
