I am thrilled to announce my 173rd Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode I will talk about the Los Angeles Lakers BRUTAL upcoming schedule as well as the possibility of the Chicago Bears signing Kareem Hunt.

Let’s first dig into the Lakers. We found out this morning that Lebron James is unfortunately still out and will miss at least the next two games.

Currently, the Lakers and Kings are tied for the #8 and final spot in the Western Conference. They had a nice home win last night against the Chicago Bulls 107-100 but now their schedule gets hard as hell. I have been yapping about how difficult this year was going to be for Lebron compared to his previous regular seasons in the East. The West is absolutely loaded and I have kept the thought that it is going to be a battle down to the wire to even have the Lakers make the playoffs, let alone be a top 4 seed.

Tomorrow night through the end of February are going to be a crucial and extremely difficult run for the purple and gold and I am looking forward to seeing how they respond.

Now, on to the NFL! I am a die hard Chicago Bears fan and was heart broken and depressed when Cody Parkey missed that field goal 10 days ago. We have all felt that feeling of disappointment throughout the years, unless you are a Patriots fan ☹….

The Chicago Bears head coach, Matt Nagy, has stated publicly this week that the team is interested in signing Kareem Hunt. I am very conflicted on this as Hunt is a phenomenal talent, but he was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs this year after a video surfaced of him hitting and kicking a woman on a hotel video.

What are your thoughts? Would you want your team to sign a talented player who has a history of violence against women? The father in me says HELL NO! But the fan in me says HELL YES. Should we give players like this a second chance? Or is one time enough to end their career, like it was with Ray Rice? I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject….

I would love to tell you all about it in my new Scorum Sports Cast. To check out my 173rd show just click the play button below. I look forward to hearing your input and comments. Cheers!
