I am thrilled to announce my 225th Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode I will talk about the NBA Playoff race in the East and the West.

Let’s get started with the Western Conference. There was a huge game last night between the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets had pulled with in one game of the first place Warriors and needed a win to tie up the race for the top spot. But Klay Thompson went crazy from the 3-point line and the Warriors defeated the Nuggets.

The Warriors now hold a two game lead over the Nuggets but there is still time for the roles to reverse.

In the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks continue to lead the pack and have the best record in the NBA. Everyone knows about the MVP caliber season the Greek Freak is having, but it has been Eric Bledsoe’s play of late that is the key reason for the Bucks success. Bledsoe was rewarded with a nice $70 Million contract extension so he should be a happy camper down the stretch.

There are 4 teams in the East that are fighting for the final 2 spots (Nets, Heat, Magic, Hornets) but is it better to miss the playoffs and get into the NBA Lottery and have a shot at Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett? Or is it better to get the 7 or 8 seed and get swept by the Bucks or Raptors?

It will be interesting to see which of these teams fight for a post season birth and what teams appear to tank on purpose, like the Los Angeles Lakers are now doing in the West.

I would love to tell you all about it in my new Scorum Sports Cast. To check out my 225th show just click the play button below. I look forward to hearing your input and comments. Cheers!
