I am thrilled to announce my 88th Scorum Sports Cast! You can find me @thesportsguru and I will be giving you the best 5-10 minute sports rants here on Scorum every day. On today’s episode, I will recap the incredible night in Los Angeles, talk some World Series, and comment on a big trade in the NFL.

But first, let’s discuss what we saw at the Staples Center last night! It was a roller coaster of emotions for the Lakers players and fans. The San Antonio Spurs came out on fire and they were shooting the ball lights out. Lebron James struggled with his shot in the first half but Kyle Kuzma was a beast and kept the Lakers in the game.

With the Lakers down by 3 points in the 4th quarter, Lebron stepped up and NAILED a huge 3 pointer to push the game into OT. It was his biggest shot thus far in a Laker uniform. The momentum was with the Lakers after coming back from down 6 with less than a minute left and it seemed as if they would handle OT with no problem.

But Mr. “Unclutch” aka Lebron James, completely choked in OT and bricked two free throws that would have sealed the game. The Spurs would run guard Patty Mills off of a screen and he would nail the jumper to get the 143-142 lead for the Spurs. Lebron James had one more chance though to win the game…..And with 6 seconds left, on his home court, with the refs in his back pocket, Lebron James drove all the way to the hoop, got fouled, made two free throws and won the game 144-143!!! Just kidding, he took a fade away 3 point shot because he was terrified of the free throw line. The shot was bricked off the back rim and the Lakers fell to 0-3…

There was a big trade in the NFL yesterday that may put the Dallas Cowboys back on the map. They were desperate to land a high level wide receiver and Jerry Jones did just that.

The 2018 World Series will get started tonight when the Los Angeles Dodgers play at the Boston Red Sox. It is going to be 40 degrees at first pitch. Why the hell is the MLB season still going this time of year? I have sat through April and October games at Wrigley Field here in Chicago. It is absolutely miserable for the fans and the players. It drastically lowers the quality of baseball too. So what can be done to fix this? I have a solution.

I would love to tell you all about it in my new Scorum Sports Cast. To check out my 88th show just click the play button below. I look forward to hearing your input and comments. Cheers!
