Magic vs Rocket memories- NBA Finals 1995
Rocket vs Magic - Finals 1995 Shaq vs Olajuwon I was a kid when I fell in love with the NBA, I had a friend who was totally caught up in American sports and he got really involved with me. Here, in Italy, isn't too easy to follow them about different day time. We spent all summer organizing basketball games 1 vs 1, we were 4, two pairs of brothers, happy to play every day, my brother and my friend was Phoenix Suns fans, we two other younger brothers for Orlando Magic fans. Just that summer, Magic arrived in the final after dominating the Eastern Conference and faced the Western Conference champions, Rockets. For the Magic best players were Shaq and Penny Hardaway, for the Rockets were Hakeem "the dream" Olajuwon and Sam "alien" Cassel. Below are the players who composed the teams. Orlando Magic team Houston Rocket team After an amazing ride to the final, Magic must surrender to the excessive power of Rockets team, who manage to annihilate them for 4 matches to 0. The shadow of themselves, I still remember a few embarrassing free throw by Nick "the brick" Anderson or those of Shaq, which have certainly never been its strong skill, he was a great pivot and dunk like a few on this sport, but in shots from a distance it was quite a disaster and the opponents were aware of it. The Rockets had already been world champions the previous season and had in their formidable team a lot of snipers who knew how to hit from all parts of the field, while the Magic weren't as well as the opponents in all roles. Shaquille O'neal So the final was a success for one and a disaster for the other, in that year saw the birth of some talents of the NBA, and especially one: Shaq. We all know what a wonderful career he managed to crown, four times NBA champion, three times MVP during different finals and he appeared for 15 times in the NBA all-stars, unbelievable. After starting with the Magic in 1992, he played with Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and ended his career in the Boston Celtics in 2011. He changed many teams and left his mark on each of them. Anfernee Hardaway Penny on the contrary never managed to become world champion, after starting out with Magic in 1993 he later went to play in the Suns, Nicks and in 2007 he closed his career as a Miami Heat player, later he became a coach and from 2017 he trains Memphis Tigers. The only player's title that he managed to reach and share with Shaq is the gold achieved at the Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996 with the American basketball team. In addition to this success the two have act the part of the Basketball players in the movie Blue Chips in 1994, where Nick Nolte, Mary McDonnell, J.T. Walsh, Alfre Woodard and Ed O'Neill. Blue Chips - Trailer Hakeem Olajuwon Olajuwon's career seemed very promising but in fact he stopped there, he could not win anything apart from those two titles during the continuation of his career, he also had a marginal role during the Olympics in Atlanta of which he could not be ta leader. After starting in 1984 with Rockets, in which he remained until 2001, in that year he went to the Toronto Raptors, where he remained for just one season. The University of Houston, however, has retired his jersey number 34. A true force of nature that failed to explode completely. To conclude, I leave you with a short video of that time, with the best action of the finals and the Shaq's regret about it.
