Image Source What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about D'Angelo Russell and how he resurrect his career with the Brooklyn Nets. Let's begin! D'Angelo Russell was a promising star in the making before he got drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. He was looked at by people as the star point guard that will make the Lakers a relevant team again and lift them up from the playoff drought. But when he stepped foot in the NBA, the promising star they expected him to become did now show up. Russell struggles in L.A. and failed to bring the team again to the playoffs. In 2017, D'Angelo Russell was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in the summer. And that is where it all started. He became the player that everybody expected him to become. It's just sad for L.A. fans because it happened in Brooklyn. With his fresh start with Brooklyn, he started to gain rhythm to his game, he gets his shots going and he started to feel his game even more. He gained confidence and look at him now, he's an all-star now and leading the Brooklyn Nets for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Image Source According to Bleacher's Report, D'Angelo Russell said that being traded to Brooklyn is the best thing that happened in his career. He was happy that he wasn't a part of the Lakers mess right now and he doesn't have to feel the suffering they are feeling with their situation right now. If Russell was not traded back then, he will surely be involved also in the Anthony Davis trade talks right now and that's the main reason why they are a mess. Their mentality and mindset are affected their game big time and D'Lo don't want that. He's just too thankful right now that he doesn't have to deal with those sufferings and frustrations. But if D'Lo was not traded, I think he will not be the player he is right now. That is all for today folks! I would love to hear your comments about this article so drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk! :) I'll leave you with some D'Angelo Russell highlights! Enjoy! Video Source
