NBA Talk #8: Jrue Holiday is one of the most Underrated Players in the NBA
Image Source Hello basketball fans! Today is Wednesday and it's a great day. I am here again @dwin0603 at your service to give you another interesting basketball talk and in today's episode we will talk about one of the most underrated players in the NBA, Jrue Holiday. Let's start! Not all talented players in the NBA are always in the spotlight. Sometimes there are players who are stepping up but are not being noticed even when they are one of most important players in their team. There are also times that a great player is overshadowed by other stars and his talent is not being seen because of a better star. These players are categorized as the underrated players. Jrue Holiday of the New Orleans Pelicans I think is one of those most underrated players in the NBA. I know some of you are always focus on Anthony Davis when it comes to watching the Pelicans but Jrue Holiday is one of the biggest factor for the team. Holiday made a mark for himself when he was 22 and still playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. Before "The Process" start, Jrue led the Sixers in the East and named as an all-star. He established himself as one of the best guards in the league but despite all of that, Jrue was traded to the Pelicans that summer. Image Source Holiday struggled in his first 2 seasons with the Pelicans and almost missed half of all the games for that seasons dealing with numerous injuries. But in a span of 4 years with the Pelicans, Jrue has established himself as one of the most solid two-way point guards in the league. Last season, Holiday started to make some noise helping the Pelicans reach the playoffs contributing huge numbers and setting the tone for the Pelicans both in offense and defense. Holiday played a big role reaching the 2nd round of the playoffs last season as he averaged 24 a game hitting important buckets on that series. However, with Anthony Davis' dominance, Holiday's production are not given much attention but when you watch every Pelicans game carefully, you will understand how good Holiday is. This season, with Rajon Rondo not in the roster anymore, Holiday carried the load Rondo left and now averaging 20.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and a career high 8.7 assists with a Player Efficiency Rating of 18.85. Holiday I think is playing the best season of his career. He is 28 years old and I think he is now in his prime. With his consistent performance this season and the fact that he is healthy, I personally think that he has a shot at making the all-star team even in the stacked Western Conference. He has a lot of chance and I believe people are starting to notice how good Holiday is. I'll leave you with some of Jrue Holiday's highlights. Check this out.
