The 2018 season is underway tonight for the NCAA Men's Basketball teams. I have used the preseason poll for the top 25 teams. I have listed them in no particular order. I have had some fun (for me) putting them in a rhyming pattern, which I call rhyming with timing.

Let's line them up and let them shoot

And watch them pound the rock

They are the top teams for this year

Let's play! and stop the talk

There's some wildcats this is true

I think they have just three

Kentucky, 'Nova, Kansas State

All are good you'll see

There's some Tigers, same amount

I'll list the names for you

Auburn, Clemson and LSU

These cats can scratch you too!

Kansas, 'Zaga and Dukies play

Is supposed to be the best

We shall see how they compete

When playing all the rest

The rest of these teams all can play

Just showing off their skills

So if you get a chance just watch

And what you'll see is thrills

Virginia, Ducks and Tar Heels

Don't forget those Volunteers

Spartans, OrangeMen, Virginia Tech

I'll take those Mountaineers

Seminoles, Purdue, Wolverines

And give me some Horned Frogs

Washington, Bruins, almost done

Mississippi State Bulldogs

I look forward to an exciting year of NCAA College Basketball for 2018 - 2019. I am a fan of the SEC in basketball as well as football. The SEC is getting better in basketball as a league. We shall see if they can continue to improve the overall talent of the league besides Kentucky. It ought to be exciting basketball. Also, let me know if you have any surprise teams that we should know about that could make people sit up and take notice.

@thesportsguru had his podcast today. He mentioned a couple of teams that he liked that I had not thought about much. Wofford and Nevada. Wofford played a tough North Carolina Tar Heel team and came up little short and Nevada and BYU slugged it out for a little while until Nevada pulled away in the second half.

I know it is early, but Duke absolutely humiliated Kentucky by over 30 points tonight. Those boys at Duke are seriously talented this year. Kentucky probably needed that ass kicking to get their attention. We will see how much they improve as the season goes on. Calipari can coach those prima donnas pretty well. Go Razorbacks!
