My partner in crime @swolesome recently had a fantastic idea. He recommended that we bring the idea of a survivor contest to Scorum, which I'll explain in this post. I'm very happy to announce thie fun contest that is open to every Scorum user. There are no upvotes required, but there is a little skill and strategy involved, and you have to keep coming back each week if you survive in order to win the grand prize.
I will be running an NCAA Top 25 Survivor Contest with a 100 SCR prize for first place and I'm donating 50 SCR to @swolesome's NFL Survivor Content, which will launch later today. Please read below and make your entry in the comment section below.
What is a Survivor Contest?
The contest is simple. Each week, pick one team from that you are certain will win their game. If they win, you move onto the next week. If they lose, well, you're out of the competition.
But there's a catch! Once you pick a team, you can't pick them again for the entire contest! For example, if you choose the Alabama Crimson Tide to win this week, you will have to pick a different team the next week. You need to carefully pick your team each week. The winner is the last one standing. If there multiple players left standing or the last couple of players get knocked out the same week, they will split the 100 SCR prize pool. If there is only one player left standing, they will take the entire 100 SCR!
Rules
- Pick one team each week (from the eligible games) before the deadline and comment below the contest post. Ex: "I choose Alabama"
- Once you pick a team once, you cannot pick them for the rest of the season.
- One entry per person, no curation or generic channels can play.
- You must select a team each week. If you miss a week, you will be eliminated. I will try to post these earlier in the week in the future (on Wednesdays or Thursdays).
- Keep it fun!
