Nick Fitzgerald, QB Mississippi State

Here we go with the second full weekend of the 2018 College Football season and I have a few picks for you to CA$H in on! Let’s get started with the return of one of my Heisman Trophy favorites for this season who is getting his first action of the year. Mississippi State quarterback, Nick Fitzgerald, will take the field for the first time this season. He missed the season opener last week to an unspecified suspension but is ready to roll. Fitzgerald was going to have a monster year last season but was hurt in the Egg bowl against Ole Miss and has not played since. But he is healthy and hungry as ever and I love his match-up tomorrow against the Kansas State Wildcats.

Now there has been a lot of movement on this line this week. Mississippi State opened up at -8.5 then it went up to -9.5 and now has dropped to -7. With that drop down, I am actually going to money line the Mississippi State Bulldogs and take them outright to win the game at -290. They not only have Fitzgerald, but two great running backs in Aeris Williams and Kylin Hill. I don’t see anyway that the Kansas State team can pull off the upset.

My second game is between the Memphis Tigers and the Navy Shipmen. These are two explosive offenses and some of the best running games in the country. Normally I would not take an over in a game that focuses so mush on the ground and pound but this is an exception. Both of these defenses are terrible and will struggle to stop the opposing teams running attack.

Just last week we saw Navy give up 59 points to Hawaii. They were absolutely embarrassed defensively and I like the Memphis offense more than the Hawaii Rainbows. Navy also put up 41 points of their own and I think can do the same this week.

Memphis head coach Mike Norvell is one of the most aggressive coaches in the country and never takes his foot off of the gas. His goal is not only to win, but also to put up 50+ points which he has done in several times in the last year and opened the season with 66 points last week, which included a 56 point first half. The over in this game is 68 points and I am all over it.

I will have a two more picks in my Scorum Sports Cast tomorrow, but feel free to jump on these now!

Have a great night and I will talk to you guys in the morning! Happy Firday Night Friends!
