Former Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning broke the All-Time passing yards leader while in the Orange & Blue, an incredible feat when you really think about it.

Tonight that monumental record got shattered on one long bomb TD by Drew Brees and now even more distance in total yards thrown will separate Drew Brees from all the others when his career is over. Brees is a pioneer at the QB position, before him and the Saints Organization hooked up and believed in each other, no QB under 6 foot tall was ever given much chance for long term success. Brees has paved the way for so many other yong QB prospects to be looked at by scouts in a completely different way.

When you get right down to the white meat, Drew Brees is a top 10 QB in NFL history and if you think about how many great players are in that class, it’s impressive he has accomplished that and still has A LOT of gas left in the tank.

A great family man, strong in the New Orleans community, impeccable character and sensational talent makes Drew Brees one of the absolute Jewels of the NFL. Certainly destined to end up in the Hall of Fame but before he does that it sure would be nice to see him take his team back to the Super Bowl. Congratulations Drew Brees, your persistence and work ethic are a blueprint for many more NFL prospects to achieve success. In your words, “you can do anything you want in life of your willing to work for it.”
