A very bizarre promotion is going on in Cleveland right now, the next time the Cleveland Browns win, free beer.  It's been a long time since the Cleveland Browns won a game after pulling off the reverse perfect season last year and losing every single game.

I would say it's a bad time to be a Browns fan with how poorly the team performed last season but really it's never been a good time to be a Browns fan since they rejoined the NFL in 1999.  In that time span the Browns have made the playoffs once, in 2002 ad most seasons have failed to field a competitive team.  Over the past two seasons the Cleveland Browns have only managed 1 victory.  It's almost impressive how terrible the team has been.

Finally Browns fans have something to cheer for in Cleveland, unfortunately it's not the roster than the team is fielding but instead the promise of free beer once the team finally wins.  Team officials are trying to play the promotion off as rewarding loyal fans instead of highlighting just how comically bad the franchise has been.

Each bar participating will get one of the fridges pictured above, that will remain locked until the clock strikes zero on a Browns victory.  But don't worry, if Cleveland is terrible once again,  a contingency plan has been put in place to make sure the beer doesn't get too skunky and each fridge will be swapped out monthly to ensure fresh product when a Browns victory finally occurs.  Not even the Browns are convinced they can win a game in the first quarter of the season.

A very strange promotion and finally a reason to cheer for the Browns.
