In now what is one of my most favorite commercials of the year, Michael Jordan makes a rare air-time appearance to showcase two of the NFL's most prolific quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, playing tonight at 8pm. Notice I didn't say "playing against each other" as this surely isn't the case between any two quarterbacks who can never be on the field at the same time; they're playing against each other's defenses, theres a difference... Right, Jordan?
In this commercial one would swear Michael Jordan was about to announce himself out of retirement to face off against Lebron James in some manner but this obviously wasn't the case.
Getting ready for Sunday I've already made a $20.00 bet with a friend that Aaron Rodgers in company will upset the New England Patriots who are at home. Many critics believe Rodgers will stand no chance tonight against the Patriots who seem to have been playing with a chip on their shoulder ever since many fans dubbed this season to be a downer for the Patriots and a start of decline in Brady's career after falling only to 1-2 to start the year. Since then, they've been on a heater winning their last 5 games, however, they haven't really faced any one special in my eyes other than the Kansas City Cheifs who I think gave Brady and the Pats their biggest challenge of the year.
In recent news, Aaron Rogers admitted that Tom Brady is the 'better' quarterback if you compare them by accolades and overall career achievements but is this Rodgers way of lulling us to sleep? Is Rodgers feigning weakness and does he secretly want us to see him and the Packers as underdogs going into tonights game? I thought Aaron Rodger's sincere 'nice guy' approach in the media this past week was a bit of curveball being that Rodgers can be more of the diva and arrogant hot shot on the field at times between him and Brady. We all know both quarterbacks have ice water running through their veins, but which one will steal the show tonight?
My bet is on Rodgers.
Comment below who you think will take it down and/or what you thought about Jordan's commercial. Who else was waiting to hear that special announcement of a James Vs. Jordan 1 on 1 or some sort of competition between the two? I certainly was.
