Troisdorf - American Football is currently one of the fastest growing sports in NRW. Last but not least, the transmissions of the games from the US professional league NFL in free-to-air television have created an increasing enthusiasm for both young people and adults.

The Troisdorf Jets have also benefited from the ongoing boom and are already looking forward to many new talents who would like to try out the best sport in the world for themselves. As of next week, the jets will again offer a rookie program for football beginners.

"We have already had very good experiences with this preliminary training for newcomers to football in recent years," says club president Eric Grützenbach. "It's easier for players to keep up with the official training of the men's teams at the latest in November."

Incidentally, American football has the right playing position for every talent and every stature, even though the professionals on television, most of whom are in the format of an aggressive fridge, are unaware of this. It does not matter if someone is big or small, fat or skinny, fast or not that fast - the personal commitment and the fun of the sport decide in the end.

Neufootballer need for the beginning at first only the weather adapted sports clothing, a mattress and something to drink. Anyone who is allowed to bring stollen shoes for the artificial turf, but also normal sports shoes are sufficient.

The special rookie training for players over the age of 19 starts on Tuesday, 16 October from 19.30 clock on the artificial turf in Troisdorf Aggerstadion. Afterwards the units of the Jets always take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the same place.
