This week the Cleveland Browns are playing the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. We haven't won a game since Christmas Eve of 2015 and I am thinking tonight is the night we finally get our win. We really need this win because we have yet to lose against an AFC team and the streak needs to continue if we have any chance of making the Playoffs.

Question 1: Will our team get the passing game together?

Tyrod Taylor has managed a measly 6.3 yards per attempt this season and this puts him at 28th in the league for Yards Per Attempt. Some fans are already calling for the rookie Baker Mayfield off the bench. That's the life of a quarterback in Cleveland. You're the most popular guy on the football team until you're not.

Tonight, I would like to see some more drop back passes. I also want to see Tyrod take at least a second longer to scan the field before running. Granted, Carlos Hyde is averaging 2.8 yards per carry and Tyrod is 8.6, but defenders are stacking the box because a run is expected from somewhere because Tyrod is known to tuck it and run.

This is the week for the Browns to sling it. The Jet's pass rushers are average at best and their DB's?

Question 2: Will we continue to force this many turnovers?

We are about to play our third game of the season and the Browns have a +6 turnover margin... +6! Here is a chart showing how turnover margin relates to wins. Last year, NFL teams that won the turnover margin battle won 78% of their games! This year we already have 3 INT's and 5 fumble recoveries!

The defense Gregg Williams has assembled is no joke! The defense is very aggressive and does allow chunk yardage, but if we can continue big plays on defense then we should be ok. Myles Garrett is a beast and teams have to plan their entire offense around him to try and contain him. This opens up Larry Ogunjobi to have an impact on the field because team's are double teaming Myles!

Add our new and improved secondary(How about our rookie CB!) and this defense seems legit. Now let's see if they can continue this high turnover margin!

#3 Will our special teams get it together?

Fans lament that a kicker can't lose games for you. MMM...kay. Last week, he who shall not be named, missed two field goals and two extra points! We lost by 3 points last week against the Saints. That kicker has since been fired and we enter this game with a brand new kicker on the team. Special Teams is what I will be paying attention to the most during the game.
