Nick Vannett TE (Seattle Seahawks)

Nick Vannett is a name most people won’t be aware of from the Seattle Seahawks. He has been known as a blocking Tight End since he was drafted in 2016. Playing behind Jimmy Graham and Luke Wilson Vannett didn’t get a lot of action. Dealing with back injuries his first 2 seasons also didn’t help him get on the field. Now 100% healthy and the tight ends that the Seahawks brought in from free agency not healthy, Vannett has been taking advantage of his chance to get on the field. Currently sitting at 352 ADP Vannett is a steal for those who need a second Tight End on their roster. Another gem for you, the Seahawks have one of the easiest schedules for Tight Ends.

Ronald Jones RB (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Ronald Jones is a rookie running back out of USC and plays for the Tampa Bay Bucs. He has been having and up and down training camp so far. His biggest issues that will keep him from the field is pass blocking and pass catching. Talent scout Matt Waldman said in his Rookie Scouting Portfolio that Jones is a boom-bust fantasy option with a Chris Johnson upside. I agree with this 100 percent. The Buccaneers have a crowded backfield I wouldn’t draft Jones but I will keep a close watch on him. Bucs Running Back coach Tim Spencer said “there is probably a reason they threw to Ronald Jones 17 times in college”. So, look to see how his pass catching progresses throughout the season.

Michael Gallup WR (Dallas Cowboys)

Michael Gallup has been a rising star in the Cowboys training camp so far this year. The Cowboys are lacking a feature wide receiver and have a bunch of B receivers. Gallup has been seizing the opportunity to become the feature receiver for this team. Cowboys will likely spread the ball around this year with Dez Bryant no longer there. He has a big body to make plays over small defenders and enough speed to make plays down field. With a strong training camp Michael Gallup is looking like and has been reported to be a week 1 starter for the Cowboys. His ADP is climbing each week so keep an eye on him late in the draft.

DJ Moore WR (Carolina Panthers)

DJ Moore has been said by beat reporters to be the best wide receiver on the Carolina Panthers roster. Moore was a first-round draft pick out of Maryland. With Bill Callahan coaching the Panthers offense I expect Cam Newton to be able to get the ball out to his receivers this year. DJ Moore is a new weapon for the team with a current ADP of 120. So, he would be a steal in any fantasy draft. If you can’t draft him don’t worry because he is under the radar right now however I can’t say the same thing after the first game of the season.

Ricky Seal-Jones TE (Arizona Cardinals)

This is someone I really liked last year for this season. Seal-Jones the distant cousin to Eric Dickerson came on late last year for the Cardinals. The reason I liked Seal-Jones for this year because I knew the Cardinals needed to get a quarterback. The Cardinals went out and drafted UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen. Every young quarterback taps one player/receiver on the team and builds a rapport with them. This is someone they can throw to after they’ve went through all of their progressions. Ricky Seal-Jones can become that guy for young Rosen. His current ADP amongst tight ends is 27th. If you’re in a deep league or dynasty roster Ricky Seal-Jones.

Tre Burton TE (Chicago Bears)

Tre Burton is the former University of Florida QB/TE/FB combo. Tre will be a great addition to the young Chicago Bears because he brings a Super Bowl winning attitude to the team. He was a part of the Eagles offense the last 3 seasons but never was able to carve out a starting role because top 5 tight end Zack Ertz was ahead of him. The times he was put in Ertz wasn’t missed. He now brings his game to Chicago with head coach Matt Nagy who has coached Travis Kelce since he has come in the league. He will allow Burton to play the hybrid TE/WR role which will get him a lot of receptions and keep his young quarterback comfortable. Burton is a nice late draft pick after Gronk, Kelce, Graham, and Ertz are all off the board. He will finish this year as a top 10 Tight End.

Dante Pettis WR (San Francisco 49ers)

Most people won’t know who Dante Pettis is unless they watch college football. He didn’t have a super impressive game stats wise against Alabama in the National semi-finals. His route running and being able to separate from NFL ready defensive backs was what caught my eye. He has been very impressive with Jimmy Garoppolo throwing him balls in the 49ers’ training camp. Garoppolo’s chemistry hasn’t been there with Pierre Garcon since he has been starting for the 49ers. This leads me to believe that its plenty of balls to be caught in San Francisco. If you’re in a dynasty league add Pettis. Regular formats should keep him on the watch list.

Jordan Wilkins RB (Indianapolis Colts)

The Colts backfield is very similar to Tampa Bay’s. Crowded with no clear-cut leader. Marlon Mack is down with a hamstring injury Robert Turbin is suspended for 4 games. So, who do you trust? You have NFL journeyman Christine Michael and rookies Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines. The Colts are really high on both of their rookies while Hines provides the lightening Jordan Wilkins is more of a complete back that can pass block and finish a run with power. I think Hines will be the name that everyone knows but Wilkins is the better dynasty pickup because of his running style and pass blocking capabilities. Andrew Luck needs as much pass blocking that he can get.

Watch List ASAP:

Mike Gesicki TE (Miami Dolphins)

Keke Coutee WR (Houston Texans)

DJ Chark WR (Jacksonville Jaguars)
