Twas not so impressive a night for Jon Gruden and his newly acquired Raiders.  A lot of football fans were surprised to see the Raiders get handed a 20 point defeat in Oakland.  It's no secret to NFL fans that head coach Gruden is a big fan of his quarterback Derek Carr.  However in the Raider's season opener yesterday, Carr threw three interceptions (with no touchdowns) that ultimately cost his team the win.

Other factors of course were also in play.  Marshawn Lynch or "Beast Mode" was only able to gain 41 yards on the ground while trying to penetrate a stingy Rams defensive line.  Give the credit to Wade Phillips, the Rams defensive coordinator for one heck of a game plan.

As for the offensive production for the Rams, their quarterback Jared Goff threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns.  In addition running-back Todd Gurley ran all over the "Khalil Mack-less" defense for 108 yards.

In hindsight, maybe that deal with the Bears wasn't such a good deal after all.
