Being Canadian, I mostly remember Ricky Williams from his time in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts. He definitely was a different duck He definitely said some strange things. Some of them seemed somewhat brilliant. Others just seemed batshit crazy. Was he just eccentric, or just misunderstood? Beats me.
Interestingly, he’s my age (41) and a football analyst these days. I’ve never watched him in action as a football analyst, but it seems like something that would probably be right up his alley because it just might take someone who looks at things differently than most people to break down a sport as complex as football.
Regardless, he sure could run like a madman with the football!
