The Patriots will host the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. The Chiefs and that dominating offense will come to Gillette hoping to improve to 6-0. Patrick Mahomes has been on fire these last five weeks. He's thrown for 14 touchdowns and just two interceptions. The way he moves out of the pocket to find the open receiver is like what Brady did at the beginning of his career. He does a great job at avoiding the pass rush and usually connects with any receiver he's throwing to.

For the Patriots they'll be coming into this game with more time to prepare for Kansas City. Honestly, they needed that extra time to get ready for this game. Kansas City has won the previous two times these two teams have played each other. Now with the Chiefs having a great quarterback, the defense will be put up to the test. That defensive line really needs to get to Mahomes to make him throw the ball before he wants to. They also need to be fast because Mahomes can run out of the pocket well to find the guy he wants to throw to. Stephon Gilmore and Jason McCourty will be up for a challenge on Sunday night. It will help to have Patrick Chung and Trey Flowers in the game.

As for the Patriots offense, Brady will find his receivers like Edelman, Gordon, and Dorsett. Look also for James White and Sony Michel to have a good game too. Gronkowski will probably be double covered so the other guys will have to step it up. The Patriots offense now with Edelman back is better than it was at the beginning of the season. The offense flows better when he's in there. Expect Chris Hogan to get the ball thrown to him some on Sunday Night. It's going to be a challenge but the Patriots being at home helps a lot.

Finally, the number one seed is also at stake. If the Patriots lose this game they could be going to Arrowhead Stadium for a playoff game in January. Which the Patriots struggle against Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. If the Patriots win on Sunday they could host a playoff game in January which would benefit them being at home. I predict a close game on Sunday night with the score being 38-35 Patriots because they are home. It could go the other way too. The Chiefs beat the number one ranked defense last week against the Jaguars. Either way, it will be an exciting game and sports night for the City of Boston with the Red Sox also playing game two of the ALCS on Sunday night.
