The most disturbing part of this NFL situation is Trump playing to his base. This is all about reelection and playing to his base.

It's no secret in the U.S. that Trump voters are often racists, and these crowds are very pro military, pro police, and nationalistic (not to be confused with patriots).

This whole protest began with Kaepernick kneeling to protest the brutality police exercise on black Americans, latinos, and others. Trump strategically turned it into a flag and military nose thumb. Why? He knew it would play to his base.

Because of this, it is likely that Republicans endorsed by him will be elected. Especially if those candidates play into this psychological jedi mind trick Trump is playing up.

We are weeks away from the beginning of the NFL season, which is two months before the midterm elections in November.

I have a promise to you, I promise you this issue will be hammered in by Trump all the way up until the day after Veteran's day. Then you will never hear about again until the next election. For him this is all a political tool and he most likely couldn't care less about player's doing cartwheels or sleeping during the national anthem.

Trump used to hang out with well known black athletes, businessmen, drug dealers, rappers, and others back in the 80s and 90s in Atlantic City. Everything he does now that looks "off the cuff" is actually calculated. But he has the public fooled into thinking it's not.
