An aged rivalry that every NFL fan has heard of at some point, Chicago and Green Bay. Dating back to 1921, the Bears and Packers have played on the same field 197 times. The Cheeseheads currently are ahead in the series with a record of 97-94-6. The Bears have lost five consecutive games to Green Bay, and their praying this won't be number 6.

Come Sunday, fans from these teams (myself included) will dial into a fierce, ruthless mode as their playing on the same turf. Bears-Packers parties will sweep the Midwest by storm. Bets will be placed based on the history these teams have, the Bears recent success, and the Packers final shot at a Wildcard spot.

For the first time in 13 seasons, the Packers will walk on to Soldier Field without their legendary coach, Mike McCarthy. Meanwhile, coach of the year candidate, Matt Nagy will host the Packers for the first time on their home field, and he must show his worth in a rivalry with many years ahead.

Week 1 Recap

In week one, these two squared off in a match that would set the tempo for the season. Playing in Lambeau Field, Rodgers and Trubisky looked to lead their field to a victory. Chicago went into the locker room at half time shutting out the Pack by 17 points. The fans were in utter silence, a sight that is not seen often with such a vibrant and supporting crowd.

Rodgers came into the fourth quarter with 3 points on the board, kudos to a successful field goal attempt from Crosby. Aaron Rodgers exhibited his unbelievable ability to come down in the clutch at Lambeau as he threw three touchdowns. His game-winning touchdown met Cobb, Rodgers's go-to receiver as they've been teammate for 8 years, in the middle of the field as he got past the impeccable Bears defense, for a 75-yard touchdown.

Week 15 Preview

Kicking off at noon CST on FOX, Chicago hopes to eliminate the Packers final playoff run as they are 5 point favorites. Since Trubisky's touchdown-less week one performance, he has racked up 21, just two less than the vet, Rodgers has thrown. Rodgers will look to keep his interception-less NFL record alive against an extremely talented Bears defense.

Chicago is coming into the match after putting on one helluva performance in front of their 12th man. They held the Rams to just two field goals, and gave Goff his worst collective offensive appearance on the season. Trubisky looked a little rusty, but with another full week of practice, I wouldn't anticipate to see the same Trubisky we saw last week.

The wild-card contender, Green Bay, fired Mike McCarthy after a week 13 loss to the Cardinals in front of their crowd. Former Miami Dolphins HC and Interim head coach, Joe Philbin, tallied hist first win as a Cheesehead last Sunday with a 34-20 win over the Falcons.

A lot of variables are going to have to align for one of these two teams to come out as victors. As a Bear fan, and more specifically a Cohen fan, I'd love to see him put on his typical human juke-box performance and score a couple TD's to lead the Bears to a victory. Let's see what the future has in store!
