#FreeTheBudlight should be trending tonight on twitter. PLEASE FOOTBALL GODS, LET TONIGHT BE THE NIGHT! The Cleveland Browns are back on the field tonight when they host the very beatable New York Jets. It is the third week in the NFL and the Browns are looking for their first win in well over a year after completely choking in the first two weeks of the 2018 season. So, will tonight be the night that these locks get broken?

There is plenty of blame to go around so far this year but most of it has landed on the foot of Zane Gonzalez. He missed two extra points and two field goals on Sunday in the embarrassing loss to the New Orleans Saints by the score of 21-18. It was amazing to watch this unfold. The entire time, I kept thinking to myself, how the hell is Cleveland gonna fuck this one up. And sure enough, the foot of Gonzalez did not disappoint. He was cut and has been replaced by Greg Joseph who was out of the league and doing 12oz curls last Sunday.

Greg Joseph has been quoted this week saying, “I believe I am here for a reason.” More on that in a minute….

How much more torture do the Cleveland sports fans need to endure? They have been one of the saddest fanbases for decades until Lebron James brought them a title a few years ago. But Lebron James also took a dump on the city and the fans, now twice.

The 2018 NFL Draft was supposed to bring the Browns some hope. They drafted their savior, Baker Mayfield, with the #1 overall draft. The quarterback had one of the best statistical college careers ever at Oklahoma. He has attitude and moxie. He appears ready to be the face of the franchise. But head coach Hugh Jackson refuses to let him play? Put the damn guy in already. You haven’t won since 2016.

But Tyrod Taylor remains the starter. Somehow, a quarterback with a QBR of 36.4 is playing over a #1 draft pick. That QBR puts him at #30 in the NFL by the way…even with the atrocious play of Taylor, the Browns have been in both games and honestly they should be 2-0. But then again, they are the Browns.

As we approach kickoff tonight, I find myself rooting for this team though tonight. If Tyrod is going to start, then I hope he throws for 300 yards. I want to see the Browns win. I want to see the fans rejoice. I want to see Greg Joseph come into the game with 1 second left and a tie score and I want to see Joseph rip a 50 yard field goal right down the middle and get the walk off win for the City of Cleveland. I want to #FreeTheBudlight !!!

Good luck tonight Browns, I would say you are due to win, but you have been due forever. Cheers!
