On Sunday, January 28th, 1996, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17 in Super Bowl XXX to win the 76th championship in NFL history. It was the fifth (and, as of this writing, most recent) championship for the Cowboys franchise as Cowboys cornerback Larry Brown won the Super Bowl MVP Award. The game was held at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre won the 1995 MVP Award with 38 passing touchdowns and 4,413 passing yards, while Buffalo Bills linebacker Bryce Paup won the 1995 Defensive Player of the Year Award with 17 and a half sacks, two interceptions and three forced fumbles.
