On Sunday, January 30th, 2000, the St. Louis (now Los Angeles) Rams defeated the Tennessee Titans 23-16 in Super Bowl XXXIV to win the 80th championship in NFL history. It was the third (and, as of this writing, most recent) championship for the Rams franchise as Rams quarterback Kurt Warner won the Super Bowl MVP Award. The game was held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia.
Warner won the 1999 MVP Award with 41 passing touchdowns and 4,353 passing yards. Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Warren Sapp won the 1999 Defensive Player of the Year Award with 12 and a half sacks and four forced fumbles.
