On Sunday, February 1st, 2015, the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX to win the 95th championship in NFL history. It was the fourth championship for the Patriots franchise as Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won his third Super Bowl MVP Award. The game was held at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won his second MVP Award with 38 passing touchdowns and 4,381 passing yards, while Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt won his second Defensive Player of the Year Award with one interception, four forced fumbles and 20 and a half sacks.
