On Sunday, February 7th, 2021, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl LV to win the 101st championship in NFL history. It was the second (and, as of this writing, most recent) championship for the Buccaneers franchise, as Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady won his fifth Super Bowl MVP Award. The game was held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, as the first NFL championship to be won at the winning team’s home stadium since the Green Bay Packers in the 1965 season.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won his third MVP Award with 48 passing touchdowns and 4,299 passing yards, while Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald won his third Defensive Player of the Year Award with four forced fumbles and 13.5 sacks.
