1993 NFL Season Recap
By Zane Miller On Sunday, January 30th, 1994, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Buffalo Bills 30-13 in Super Bowl XXVIII to win the 74th championship in NFL history, the only occasion since 1962 that the championship teams were the same in back-to-back seasons. It was the fourth championship for the Cowboys franchise as Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith won the Super Bowl MVP Award. The game was held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. Smith also won the 1993 MVP Award with nine rushing touchdowns and 1,486 rushing yards, while Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Rod Woodson won the 1993 Defensive Player of the Year Award with eight interceptions, two sacks and two forced fumbles.
