NFL Week 5 Fantasy Fallout: Winning Streak Continues
I went into the end of my Week 5 matchups a bit worried if I could capture another victory in my main league. My good friend had an opportunity to take me out with Kamara. I came into Monday night up by about 26 points and he still had Kamara and Watson playing. If Kamara had a game anywhere close to his average so far this season I was dead in the water. I had faith with Ingram returning from suspension that Sean Peyton would feed the beast. Kamara may be the break-away back that has been the Saints savior, but Ingram has always been the back to force the ball down the throat of the opponent. Needless to say, I was hesitant to talk trash before the matchup. If Kamara was anywhere close to his current average I would certainly walk away a loser. Welcome back to NOLA Ingram! - img source I remember hesitating to talk trash to my friend when he sent a text saying Kamara would win it for him. After looking at Kamara's stats through Week 4, I have to admit I was a bit scurred yet I responded that Ingram would kill it coming off the bench and thankfully he did. Kamara ended up registering his lowest fantasy score since the season kickoff. I ended up walking away with another win. After a Week 1 loss to the previous champ in our league, my season is looking a bit better. I may have lost to my neighbor down the street Week 1 but I beat out my best friend for a Week 5 win putting me in a tie for first in the league going into Week 6. My winning streak didn't end with that league. I came into this week tied for first with another undefeated team in my NFL league. We were the only two remaining undefeated teams here. I was a bit nervous about this matchup, thebull waited to update his roster all week so I had no idea what was in-store for me. After finally seeing his lineup prior to the Sunday kickoff I was still unsure how the week would end. This matchup wasn't even close like my other league. I peeked at my stats and score a few times during games but it looked like a win each time. I was certainly expecting a close game here but I got lucky. I'm going into Week 6 with a nice fat and round zero in my loss column. Can I win this league without a loss? Only time will tell but it would definitely be a first for me, I've won leagues before yet never with an undefeated team. According to projections, I should garner a win in both leagues again this week but only time will tell.
