By Zane Miller On Sunday, February 11th, 2024, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime in Super Bowl LVIII to win the 104th championship in NFL history. It was the fourth championship for the Chiefs franchise, and third since becoming NFL members. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes earned his third Super Bowl MVP Award, with the game being held at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won his second MVP Award with 24 passing touchdowns and 3,678 passing yards, while Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Myles Garrett won his first Defensive Player of the Year Award with four forced fumbles and 14 sacks.
