Earlier this week Philadelphia Flyers presented their new mascot Gritty and he immediately became the main topic of talks over the league and even among fans of other sports. He's a redhead, he's puffy and he's... so strange. Reactions are very different, but Gritty already became the most followed mascot in the League on Twitter.
He met Wayne Simmonds and Claude Giroux recently seems players liked their new mascot.
Players of another franchise from Philadelphia, the NFL Champions Philadelphia Eagles, were surprised.
Mascots of this kind are popular in Philadelphia, isn't it?
And there are tons of jokes about Gritty. Many people think he's scary.
Somebody even made a petition to get rid of the new mascot.
