National Dog Day celebrates all dogs of all breeds annually August 26th all around the U.S. and now internationally also. It was founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige, a Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Advocate.

Only the MLB season is going on in August, so the ballparks all around the country are full of good boys and good girls on this day. But many NHL teams and players also showed their love to dogs yesterday, and it looks lovely and cosily 🐶

The two most-into-dogs team in the NHL are the Colorado Avalanche and the Calgary Flames because their mascots are dogs! Bernie of the Avalanche and Harvey the Hound of the Flames.

Bernie is a St. Bernard dog who was a part of the Ski Patrol, but liked ice more than snow and joined the Avalanche.

Harvey is the first and the oldest among all the NHL mascots, he was the Flames’ "first pound draft pick" in 1983. But there are also Flames' puppies! And Johnny Gaudreau.

The New York Rangers has their own dog Ranger. He's a lab and will be trained to become a professional service dog for a child with autism. So cute to have such a member of the organization.

Gustl Kopitar, ‏the Comfort Dog of the Los Angeles Kings and the member of Kopitar family celebrates the National Dog Day, too.

Puppies, puppies, more and more puppies of the Minnesota Wild!

This lucky dog enjoys summer and the Stanley Cup championship together with the Washington Capitals.

Goalie Matt Murray of the Pittsburgh Penguins has two adorable dogs. An awesome video.

The Hockey Dogs of the Montreal Canadiens. A lot of hockey dogs.

Marc-Édouard Vlasic and Evander Kane of the San Jose Sharks with their pets.

Another member of the Winnipeg Jets team.

Odis, loved pet of Scott Mayfield (New York Islanders).

And Devils dogs of Kyle Palmieri and New Jersey fans.
