I take a look at my ECHL playoff predictions from the first round to the Kelly Cup Finals.
First round
Brampton Beast v. Newfoundland Growlers
Growlers in four
The Growlers dispose of the Beast with a four-game sweep to move on to the second round.
Manchester Monarchs v. Adirondack Thunder
Monarchs in six
The Monarchs start out the series winning games one through three, however the Thunder fight their way back with wins in games four and five. However, Manchester is able to finish off the series with a game six win, moving on to the second round.
Jacksonville Icemen v. Florida Everblades
Everblades in seven
The Everblades take the first two games, but the Icemen rebound with wins in games three and four to even up the series. Florida is able to pull ahead in game five, but Jacksonville staves off elimination with a win in game six. Florida pulls off the series victory with a win in game seven.
South Carolina Stingrays v. Orlando Solar Bears
Solar Bears in seven
In another series that goes the distance, the Stingrays start out strong with wins in games one and two, but the Solar Bears respond with a win in game three. South Carolina puts themselves one game away from advancing by winning game four, however Orlando turns it around, winning the final three games of the series to complete the comeback.
Kalamazoo Wings v. Cincinnati Cyclones
Cyclones in six
The Cyclones take the first two games, but the Wings are able to tie it up with wins in games three and four. Cincinnati comes back in games five and six, getting victories to advance to the next round.
Fort Wayne Komets v. Toledo Walleye
Walleye in five
The Walleye claim the first two games, but the Komets break up the chance for a sweep with a win in game three. Toledo finishes off the series by taking the final two games to move on.
Kansas City Mavericks v. Tulsa Oilers
Oilers in five
The Mavericks grab the first game of the series, but the rest would be all Oilers as Tulsa takes the final four games of the series to find their way in the second round.
Utah Grizzlies v. Idaho Steelheads
Grizzlies in seven
In another tight series, the Grizzles grab the first two games, but the Steelheads respond with a game three win. Utah restores their two-game advantage winning game four, but Idaho puts themselves back in the series with wins in games five and six. Utah finishes the series with the victory in game seven to advance to the second round.
Second round
Manchester Monarchs v. Newfoundland Growlers
Monarchs in seven
The Growlers claim the wins in games one and two, but the Monarchs would not be deterred and won the next three. Newfoundland won it in game six to force a seven-game series, but it wouldn’t be enough as Manchester moved on with a game seven victory and into the conference finals.
Orlando Solar Bears v. Florida Everblades
Everblades in six
The Solar Bears take the first game, which the Everblades responded to by grabbing the game two victory. Orlando moved back in front with a game three win, however Florida earned the next three wins to make their way into the conference finals.
Toledo Walleye v. Cincinnati Cyclones
Cyclones in six
The Cyclones start out with a game one victory, but the Walleye came back with winning game two. The teams remained tied as Cincinnati claimed game three but Toledo got game four, however Cincinnati won the last two games to advance to the conference finals.
Utah Grizzlies v. Tulsa Oilers
Oilers in six
The Grizzlies grabbed the win in game one to start out the series, but the Oilers won game two. The teams swapped victories with Utah getting game three and Tulsa claiming game four, however the last two games belonged to Tulsa as they moved on to the conference finals.
Conference finals
Manchester Monarchs v. Florida Everblades
Everblades in six
The Everblades took the first game of the series, however the next three were the Monarchs’ as they grabbed a 3-1 advantage. Florida won game five to stave off elimination, but it wouldn’t be enough as Manchester won in game six to advance to the Kelly Cup Finals.
Tulsa Oilers v. Cincinnati Cyclones
Oilers in five
The Oilers took game one to go ahead in the series, but the Cyclones evened up the series in game two. However, Tulsa earned the next three wins, advancing into the Kelly Cup Finals for the first time in team history.

Tulsa Oilers v. Florida Everblades
Oilers in six
The Everblades jumped out in front early as they won game one, but the Oilers responded in a big way as they took the next three. Florida claimed the game five win, but it wouldn’t be enough as Tulsa got game six to win their first Kelly Cup in franchise history.
