The Washington Capitals defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3, Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby took the win with 28 saves on 31 shots, forwards Jakub Vrana and TJ Oshie led the team on offense with two goals each.
The Winnipeg Jets defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-4 in overtime, Jets goaltender Laurent Brossoit took the win with 15 saves on 16 shots, defenseman Josh Morrissey led the team on offense with one goal and two assists.
The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the San Jose Sharks 5-1, Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury took the win with 38 saves on 39 shots, forward Jonathan Marchessault led the team on offense with one goal and one assist.
The scheduled game between the St. Louis Blues and Columbus Blue Jackets was cancelled due to the Blues’ flight being cancelled for mechanical issues.
