On Tuesday, April 9th, 1946, the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Boston Bruins at the Montreal Forum in Montreal to win the 33rd Stanley Cup Finals four games to one. It was the sixth Stanley Cup championship for the Canadiens franchise, and the eighth that was won in Quebec. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.

Peters claimed partial player of the game honors in game two, as he got the game-winning goal as the Canadiens won it in overtime 3-2.
4. #3 Butch Bouchard (Canadiens)- D
Bouchard grabbed partial player of the game in game one, getting a goal and an assist in the Canadiens’ 4-3 overtime victory.
3. #9 Maurice Richard (Canadiens)- F
Richard also claimed partial player of the game in game one, earning one goal and one assist as he picked up the overtime game-winning goal.
2. #11 Don Gallinger (Bruins)- F
Gallinger picked up player of the game honors in game four, as he took one goal and one assist as the Bruins won their only game of the series 3-2 in overtime.
