On Sunday, June 11th, 2017, the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville to win the 103rd Stanley Cup Finals four games to two. It was the fifth (and, as of this writing, most recent) Stanley Cup championship for the Penguins franchise, and the first that was won in Tennessee. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.

Josi got player of the game in game three, scoring one goal and two assists on the way to a 5-1 Predators victory.
4. #81 Phil Kessel (Penguins)- F
Kessel took player of the game in game five, as he got one goal and two assists in the Penguins’ 6-0 victory.
3. #13 Nick Bonino (Penguins)- F
Bonino grabbed player of the game honors in game one, picking up a pair of goals as the Penguins earned a 5-3 win.
2. #59 Jake Guentzel (Penguins)- F
Guentzel scored player of the game in game two, as he earned a pair of goals in the Penguins’ 4-1 win.
1. #30 Matt Murray (Penguins)- G
Murray picked up player of the game in game six, as he claimed a shutout with 27 saves on 27 shots as the Penguins took the 2-0 victory to take the series title.
