Tran Dinh Nam delivered to the Vietnamese delegation today his fourth gold medal in the Asian Games (ASIAD 2018) when he climbed to the podium in the category of 70-75 kilograms in the combat mode of Pencak Silat.
The Vietnamese athlete won a resounding victory by defeating Malaysian opponent Khalid Modhd Rauzi 5-0.
This is the second gold medal of the Pencak Silat team in the day of competitions this Wednesday. A few hours earlier, Nguyen Van Tri won a gold medal in the 90-95 kilogram category.
With these two golds the Vietnamese delegation met the goal set to win three to five gold medals in the continental games.
Until the afternoon of this Wednesday Vietnam is temporarily placed in the fourteenth place of the medal table, headed by China.
