Pencak Silat athletes from Garut Regency, West Java, who won the gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games will take the offer of Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan to become a civil servant or civil servant.

Athletes who are still studying at Garut University will soon complete their education to get prizes to become civil servants in the Garut Regency Government.

"The target next year of college must be completed, so that when a civil servant is already a graduate," he said.

In addition to the prize being the Garut Regency Civil Servants, Asep also received a bonus of money from the government of Rp.750 million which he would use for living needs.

"The bonus will be used for my future," he said.

He revealed, initially did not expect to get a gold medal with his team at the 2018 Asian Games.

He also claimed he did not expect to get a rousing welcome from the community and the Garut Regency Government.

"Thank you to the district government and Garut residents who had welcomed us," he said.

Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan stated, ready to keep the promise to appoint gold medal athletes to become civil servants.

"I hope they want to become civil servants, tomorrow I will propose to Menpan to make civil servants," he said.

There are six fighters from arrowroot who participated in the 2018 Asian Games gold medal. The six athletes were Nunu Nugraha, Anggi Faisal, and Asep Yuldan Sani (male team) and Lutfi Nurhasanah, Gina Tri Lestari, and Pramudita Yuristya (female team).
