Hello again, in this post I will try to explain better the last part of the previous post of the easiest way but detail as possible. Hope you like it.

From the top to the fall

The first competition of skate journal was made in 1963 in California making the skate into a global phenomenon.

Toward 1965, the skate as sport was raised by international championships, movies, magazines (Quaerterly Skateboarder) and travel that crossed the United States with teams of skaters.

Also as the marks emerging appeared equally the first dress codes, as first shoes of the house Vans's which was founded in 1966 by Paul Van Doren, your brother James Van Doren, Gordon C Lee and Serge D'Elia.

Likewise, unfortunately the popularity of skateboarding was undergoing a terrible low due to the little progress in the design and construction of the computer, it is the case for example in the construction of wheels, that despite the clay were not the most secure or stable, were the cheaper and therefore the most produced, this toward which the skaters to fall on their tables, because these wheels are not holding well to the ground. All this caused the sport to be banned in many cities by security measures.

Resurgence of skateboarding

When it seemed that everything was lost, happened one of those facts that changed the course of everything. Frank Nasworthy invented the wheels urethane in 1973 and founded the company Cadilla Wheels. These wheels made that many people back to take interest in the skate and returned to practice more regularly.

Also during this stage there still were no skateparks so that the skaters gathered in urban locations such as reservoirs, swimming pools, esplanades, stairs and railings. This beginning is what makes the skate is considered a sport urban and alternative.

Then came the year 1975 and in a championship of slalom and freestyle in Del Mar, California. The Zephyr Team taught a form of skate that had not been seen ever and showed what the skate could be.

From that day, was left to see the skateboard as a hobby marginal and became something taken very seriously and with many possibilities. Some members of the team were, nothing more and nothing less than Jay Adams, Tony Alva, Stacy Peralta, etc.

Also Road rider appeared with the first bearings, after decades of use marbles loose. The skate is alive.

In 1976 was built the first two skateparks in the world. Specifically in Port Orange, Florida and in San Diego, California. Then many skateparks were built as it was considered a good investment for society. Obviously.

Curious Fact

In 1978. Another historical moment occurred. Alan Gelfand invented the "Ollie" also known as "no hand's aerial" and moved the skateboard to the next level.

The roots of freestyle developed when skateboarders began to take vertical moves to the street. The skater culture began to mingle with punk and the New wave of music.

I hope you liked this second part. I'll try to keep writing about this fascinating sport. Greetings :]
