Skateboarding in the Philippines has a lack of support and there are so many talented individuals who just give up because of it. Good for Didal who never give up on her dream and pursue to continue with what she loves.
Cebuana Margielyn Didal 19-year-old from Lahug, Cebu City who is a daughter of a kwek-kwek vendor won gold in women's skateboarding street event 2018 Asian Games in JSC Skateboard Stadium Jakarta Indonesia.
Didal with 30.4 points won against Isa Kaya of Japan with 25.0 points and Bunga Nyimas of Indonesia 19.8 points.
Hidlilyn Diaz who won the first gold in weightlifting followed by Yuka Saso in golf women's individual and the third one was in golf women's team event by Saso, Bianca Pagdanganan, and Lois Kaye Go.
