Trekking takes a lot of strength and energy and sportsmanship but is trekking a sport? Today I am going to share my trekking journey of 7 days. The actual trek is of 11 days but we had one festival coming near so we were forced to complete the trek in 7 days, so it was double hard for us as we need to walk faster than other and can't rest.

Me on the way to Manang

The trek is Thorang-la pass and Tilicho lake. Thorang la pass is the world's highest pass and Tilicho lake is the lake situated in world's highest altitude. Both falls in Annapurna Circuit trek so a single trek is enough for us to visit both places.

Manang Village

The trek started from Beshisahar, Lamjung of Nepal. Then it was 6 hour trip of jeep to Chame, the headquarter of Manang district. We lived in Chame for that day and we took same jeep to go to Manang village the next day. It was a 2 hour ride and we lived in Manang village for that day because going to very high altitude from low altitude directly may cause altitude sickness.

From Chame

We visited Gangapurna lake in Manang village and the lake was awesome!

The next day we trekked to Thangsar, it was an 2 hour trek and we did our dinner there. Then we walked 7 hours straight to go to Tilicho Base camp. Tilicho base camp was an awesome place, there were 3 hotels and all hotels were packed when we reached there. Not only room were packed but kitchen and dinning room were also packed. There were hundreds of people sleeping in kitchen and we were lucky that I walked 7 hours trek in 6 hour so we got tent to sleep.

Next day, the day to trek Tilicho is the hardest day I had ever experienced in my life. Previous day I hadn't eaten anything because of stomachache and hadn't slept that night. We woke up at 04:30 and trekked without eating. My stomach was empty and body didn't had any energy. And the trek was the hardest. It was only uphill for 4 hour but it took me 6 hours to reach, I thought I will not be able to complete but there a sister came and gave me biscuits so that I gained some energy to complete the trek.

It was 6 hour trek and 2 hour return to the base camp. We eat our launch there and went to Shree Kharka the same day. It was another 2 hour trek and that time I was first that time because I had eaten my dal bhat.

That was a very very hard day but more important thing was that we knew tomorrow we will have a even harder day because we need to walk more than 9 hour to reach Thorang phedi. It is going to be very hard for sure.

From Shree kharka we walked 9 hours to reach Thorang Phedi with launch on Yak Kharka. We didn't got room and we needed to sleep on a bench. The bench was small and it was hard to sleep. The next day we reached thorang la and returned to pokhara the next day.
