Just like i revealed in my write up yesterday the board game i dislike so much, today i will be writing on my favourite board game which i finally choose ahead of the Ludo game and my readers will also have the chance to win some tokens at the end of this post. Actually i wasn't exposed to this game right from my childhood stage just like many kids were fortunate to learn it today but am glad i finally know how to play the game. I have been hearing about the game for some years and the little i could grab about it then was the fact that some words will be giving to me in a scatter form and be asked to re-arrange it to form a meaningful word. I could still remember the day i was listening to one radio lunch time programme where anybody can call the studio number and be ask to provide solution to some word games in other to win some price. It nearly took away all my time when i tried to attempt the one that was given to one person on the programme to arrange.

The most funniest part of it is the fact that the person didn't get the answer before he dropped the call, i tried bringing those alphabets together on many occasions but i couldn't use it to form any meaningful word and that was when i thought of getting myself familiar with the game because it gives room for critical reasoning. Although, i am not talking about the board one here because i have not be able to set my eyes on it but even the one that i first get familiar with gave me a change of mind towards it. I will ask my friends to give me some set of words in a scatter form and see me arranging it together to form a meaningful word and with time i begin to understand the game and the strategies behind it until i finally met the board one.

I was just returning home from a class that day and i saw my neighbours sitting round a paper and holding some things in their hands which i don't really know and i decided to join them to know the kind of game the just invented because it is very clear to me that they are playing a game but what i actually thought of was different when i got to them. I saw someone holding the dictionary while the other four people were with some alphabets and without asking any further question from them, i said to myself that this is the scrabble game i have been hearing about and i think i have to see how it goes today. So after dropping my books, i joined them again to see how the game is being play and that is when i realize that it was quite different from the radio one i know because there are so many things that someone really need to know about the game before he can start playing it and that was when i begin to ask questions.

First and foremost, i was told what they are holding in their hands is called a Tile with alphabet written on it and there is a bag containing different tiles where players can dip their hands to select the tiles randomly. When you want to pick a tile or tiles, you must not look into the bag, all you just have to do is pick randomly and whatever alphabet you get is what you have to use to form a word on the scrabble board. Now coming back to the game board, there are some rules that one also have to understand because it has some grid lines on it and some words were written in some of the grid, words like double word, triple word, triple letter and so on. Finally on the dictionary the other guy is hold is to check out some words that any player wants to prove is right when the other player is opposing it existence, then in this case, the dictionary became the judges and i was told the scrabble has it's own dictionary which is different from the normal dictionary we all carry all about.

I can't just imagine myself understanding all the moves in a day due to my first experience with it when i was giving myself some task to do and for the fact that i have learn some new words gave me the advantage over some of the guys that even explain to me some of the rules because when i finally have the chance to compete in the game with other experienced players, i was so fast in the way i arrange my letters and the way i make use of the grids with double word and letters. The most funniest part of it is when i spell any word and a player wants to against it, i am always confident that they should consult the dictionary and that will also earn me another points and deduct from the player points. I am glad i finally have another board game instead of the Ludo game that always make me bored.

There are so many reasons why i choose scrabble ahead of ludo game. Firstly, it allows the players to learn new words in the process because i get to learn some words i never thought exist in the dictionary through other players and the fact that it gives room for critical reasoning is another reason why i finally fall in love with it.

Now let's play some game and the first person to put these alphabets ( EMOALNPS) together to form a meaningful word will get 50 SCR.

Word hint: The use of more words than necessary.
