Good deeds do not have to be late
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Friends, today I will share with you another incident, if we read the incident, we will understand that it is never too late to do good deeds. The incident happened to Amirul Muminin Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (R) and his son Abdul Malek. So let's get started. Source One morning when Amir al-Mu'minin Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz was lying in his bed to rest a little, his 17 year old son Abdul Malik entered the house. He said: Amir al-mu'minin, what do you want to do now? He said: Boy, I want to rest for a while, because now my body is not strong, I am very tired. The boy said: Amirul Muminin! Do you want to sleep without hearing the cries of the oppressed? Who will bring back their property taken away by oppression? Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz said: Son! Since I woke up all night because of the death of your uncle Khalifa Suleiman, I have no strength in my body due to fatigue. After resting for a while, I will perform the Zuhr prayer with the people, then surely the oppressed will be heard and everyone will be given his rights, no one will be deprived. The boy said: Amirul Muminin! Who guaranteed that you would live until noon? Upon hearing this from his son, Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz woke up in pain. Sleep fell from his eyes, as if energy had gone from his tired body, he jumped up and down. And he said to his son, Come closer to me. When the boy approached, he hugged him and kissed him on the forehead and said: All praise is due to Allah who has given me a good son like you who helps me in religious matters. Then he got up and ordered that the one who had been wronged should come and present his case before the caliph. So the case came and Amirul Muminin decided according to justice. See how Abdul Malik inspired his father to do a good deed, just as Amir al-Mu'minin Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz was a just man who helped the poor and lived in fear of Allah, so did his son Abdul Malik. His father's qualities were innumerable. Friends, the day of departure does not come back, so do not delay in good deeds and always help the oppressed and the poor, may Allah be pleased with it and give the best reward in this world and in the hereafter.
