Journey to acquire knowledge
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Man can never be great without acquiring knowledge, nowadays acquiring knowledge has become much easier. People of earlier times have struggled to acquire knowledge. Someone has traveled abroad to acquire knowledge. One such incident is mentioned here. Source Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (R) is a famous Companion. He heard and memorized many hadiths from the Prophet (peace be upon him), and taught those hadiths to the people. But there were some hadiths which he did not hear from the beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). If he had ever heard of a Companion having a hadith which he had heard from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he would have traveled to him to get it and would have endured all the hardships on the road. Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah narrates his own story that once I came to know that there is a Companion Hazrat Abdullah bin Unais (R) in Syria, he has a hadith heard from the beloved Prophet, which I have not heard. At that time there were no motor vehicles, people used to travel on camels, horses etc. So I bought a camel and went to Syria to get this hadith. After a month's journey I arrived in Syria, and arrived in front of the house of Abdullah bin Unais. The day that Jabir bin Abdullah came. I told the doorman that you should tell Abdullah bin Unais that Jabir bin Abdullah is coming. When the doorman went and informed me, Hazrat Abdullah bin Unais came out and greeted me and hugged me. Then I said to him: I have heard that you have a hadith of the beloved Prophet, I have come to take it. Because I was afraid that I might not get it from you in Hadith and before that I or you would die and thus I would be deprived of getting it. So please tell me that hadith. Then after my request he narrated that hadith to me. (Musnad Ahmad: 6042, Adabul Mufrad 970,) Dear friends, in the passion of acquiring knowledge, he bought a camel to get Hadith, traveled so far and endured many hardships. The fact is that knowledge does not come without hard work, so look, acquire knowledge with full passion and devotion, that is success and that is how you can move forward. 🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼
