Barangay Ginebra recorded their first win against Rain or Shine in their best of five PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals 102-89.
Justin Brownlee helped the Ginebra team to won with 35 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists. Jeff Chan had 21 points in Ginebra against his former team.
Ginebra coach Tim Cone is delighted with the efforts made by his players.
From the first quarter Ginebra held the lead and they did not allow the Painters to catch up.
Ginebra played well on their first game without Japeth Aguilar.
Johnson carried the Elasto Painters with 30 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists but he failed to win the game. James Yap added 15 points and 8 rebounds while Ed Daquioag added 10 points.
