Potplucker´s profile
Global Ranking on Steemit Poker League (lucksacks.com)

What is your name and when did you start to play poker?

My name is Howie, i started playing with some regularity in 2002. Online poker was advertised a lot due to the rise of Partypoker at the time.

The 2003 moneymaker effect brought in a lot of action. I was already had accounts on many of the popular places for online play, but not nearly skilled enough to take good advantage of the moment.

Why did you star to play poker?

I like to play games. I thought I could make some decent money and enjoy spending time doing it.

Do you like poker online or casinos?

I like playing both online and live. So I try to do both with some regularity.

Which do you consider that is the top skill that the poker player must have?

Aggression, without it not much else matters. It wins lots of small pots and sets up the action to build big pots.

Do you consider that the poker is undervalued?

No, I don't think its undervalued, i really enjoy playing the game. It provides me entertainment via contact with people and some financial reward or loss for the time spent doing it.

Other then that it has little to no value to humanity I think overall. I know I enjoy meeting people playing the game, hearing their stories. It makes me feel good to win a pot or a tournament.

Still, I do think its somewhat human nature to exploit one another, the game provides huge oppurtunity to do that, so perhaps its undervalued because it serves what could be considered a negative trait in human nature.

Tell us an anecdote in you poker history?

Story about my poker history.... When I think back on the many chances I had to win a defining tournament or advance to the next level.

Well, I know I haven't worked hard enough so had made bad decisions, have had some the strangest computer problems deep in tournaments that would of paid well. I have been just unlucky on some occations.

The game comes with all kinds of challenges, i got into the game a little later in life. I was in my 30s when it was gaining some populartiy online. Guess I was always a little late to the party.

Sorry not a story, just a theme of my experiance so far. Yet, I think I am playing better now than I ever have and the best is still to come.

Have you ever been on a WSOP? it if not the answer, you would like to go there?

I never played a numbered WSOP event but I have backed a few players.

I did back a player that made the FT of the womens event, she finished 6th making a decent payday. Sadly divorce and life issues took the game away from her so that was her best finish to date.

I have went to the WSOP a few times and played the daily games, i had not been able to get back to Vegas since 2012. Mostly now I get to attend about 2 WSOPC events per year. I will play the seniors events. The 2-4 day grinds for the WSOPC main events are more than I can handle.

Would need really improve my diet and fitness if I wanted to compete at that level, i enjoy the good life of food and drink a little to much.

With which player in spl do you like to play more?

We have all types of players at SPL, they all make me think and challenge me to play the best I can vs their style.

Betting and calling ranges are adjusted depending on how I classify a players type. Many of my plays are not only determined by the indidual player but also by the person sitting to the left and right of them.

The puzzle is different all the time. So I don't really have a preferred player but do like favorable set ups in seating.

What would you like of the new SPL (scorum poker league)?

I do have big hope for the new SPL on Scorum. The token might to very well and have better ROI over time. Could be very good for us all

What would you tell to the players that wants to kick you out on the poker tables?

I guess I don't want them to ever be in a position of authority that could make that true.

I play the game to the best of my ability most of the time, i try to be respectful.

If a player wants me gone they tend to express that by jamming their stack at me. Sometimes I take it, sometimes I don't.

I hope you guys have been enjoy it, if you want leave a comment to potpluckers down below, and tell me if you want that i make a interview to a X player... See you next time.
